Idiot American, strikes again
I'd like to point out that for a Mom, she seems to have a hard on for my kid. Just another example of why Americans get judged so poorly.
What is it about stupid people that keeps that CAPS on? And I just can't stop writing the twit. Cause I'm waiting for her "secret code" to come on.
What exactly does "delted" mean anyway?
Last time I checked, we don't want you losers anyway. And sorry Missy, if you're offended. I have many NORMAL american friends. But people like this will remain the reason that people try to kill Americans. We have many of the same problems, but they are smaller, and they are less obnoxious, and dammit, they are at LEAST using proper english. I think most people are sick of people, and ideas that this person for clearly demonstrates. People who cannot think for themselves, and so use violence, or sit there saying someone's child is ugly instead. It's called stupidity, and I'm sorry, but for some reason, the US tolerates this without question it seems to the rest of the world. WHich is why I'm letting this continue.
We can all sit here and pretend that the US is ok, but it's not. And being the biggest "superpower/whatever" right now makes that really scary. Because the rest of the world is left to clean up the messes caused by, when you get down to it, this "sense of entitlement". This type of person thinks it's ok to drive a big stupid car, because the world is theirs. They think that they are owed everything, allowed to be "louder" because their son/daughter is in the military. They believe they're special.
And this type of thing is DESTROYING the world you live in, the world that some of us want to keep a little longer, since we know that the rapture is nothing more than that great opening scene in one of the episodes of Six Feet Under. I want my children to inherit something that has value and worth. This type of person is a plague, but it's a lot more sinister than anything else. Anyone who blindly believes in an elected figure, as this "person" seems to is sadly deluded. And they'll never know, because the don't want to.
I've yet to meet anyone Canadian who would attack someone in this manner, for no apparent reason. And continue to do so. THAT is half my point. If I showed this manner of writing to someone, and asked who they thought wrote it, they'd say "American". Because Canadians have been putting up with this shit for ages, and I'm quite sick of it really. What is so wrong about living in a clean, relatively crime free, civilized country? Oh, aside from the jealousy part. We have our issues, but it's rare to see a Canadian leaving because they disagree with the administration.
Oh wait, actually, those are AMERICANS coming here.
And I'M the coward. heh.
Anyway, rant over. Here's the latest update from the twit:
HONESTLY SWEETIE, YOU NEED TO SPEND YOUR TIME LOOKING FOR PLASTIC SUGEONS TO FIX THAT LITTLE ONES, FACE....I SHOWED HER TO MY DAUGHTER, OF COURSE YOU LOVE YOUR CHILD, BUT TO SPLATTER HER FACE ALL OVER THE WEBSITE, YOUR ONLY SETTING HER UP TO BE MADE FUN OF....
THE ONLY THING WORSE WAS IF YOU WOULD HAVE NAMED HER GEORGE ON TOP, THEN MRS. BUSH WOULD HAVE HAD A HEART ATTACK...STOP WRITING ME, I DONT READ YOUR EMAILS, I DELTED THEM
IF YOU HAD AOL YOU WOULD BE ABLE TO CHECK THE STATUS AND SEE THAT THEY ARE DELETED
DONT YOU KNOW SOME DRAFT DODGERS OR CRIMINALS THAT YOU CAN GO AND REFORM, YES, LOL, WE EVEN THROW OUR FOOTBALL PLAYERS OUT IF THEY DO DRUGS...AND GUESS WHO TAKES THEM IN, YOUR SORRY ASSED COUNTRY....DROP DEAD YOU COWARD AND STOP WRITING ME...

NUTTER!
I have no other words....I'm so freaking lightheaded from coughing and laughing so hard at her e-mails.

Honestly, I wasn't really offended (the sarcasm tag wasn't "on").
I realize there are way too many folks like that around here.
However, I'm not going to jump to sweeping generalizations about Canada or Europe.
I don't know what it is about the United States that makes many folks here think like that nutjob. I don't know if it's that we've been very successful for the last fifty or so years and, as a result, like any other person or culture "on top of things", the only place to go is down.
Yes, Canada has also been successful but our population is an order of magnitude greater than yours (roughly 300 million versus 33 million) and, thus, we have an order of magnitude greater of nutjobs. Your population is also largely homogenous (mostly natives and European immigrant-based, with the exception of Vancouver and Toronto) whereas the U.S isn't as homogenous, across the board. More heterogeneity in the population, in my opinion, has lead to xenophobia. This xenophobia leads to nutjobs.
Or, it could just be all of the inbred rednecks in the Deep South, Appalachia and Utah. They seem to be our most outspoken nutjobs and the most likely to Bible thump.
Food for thought.

ok good. I like some Americans, and I don't want to offend the ones I like.
And mostly, I consider us "America Light"-all the fun, without the crap. And I think you're right about the population distro thing-we just don't have so many areas warm enough to hide in and become inbred or something.
I just get annoyed, because I work with Americans, and here this crap "jokingly" all the time. And it's annoying, because deep down I'm a patriot and I hate that I'm uncomfortable to say so just because of the way some "patriots" act. That make sense?
One of my favorite people that I work with is in Utah, so nothing makes sense I guess. I try to be tolerant but man, somedays it's like trying to tolerate the klan I swear.
AND she/he/it started it.
Anyway, I've blocked the idiot now. After 4 emails that were basically cut and paste, despite me egging her/him/it on with new items, I gave up. No fun anymore.

Again, no offense taken.
Believe me, as much as you hate the crazies, folks like me hate them even more because they threaten all that we hold dear. All of that patriotism and flag-waving is great but it's a bit hypocritical when they're trampling the rights of others who are fighting for the same things that our forefathers did.
My biggest complaint is the assholes who say you're not patriotic or that you're a traitor when you speak against the government. Ugh. It's not that you're speaking against our country, just the dumbasses who are fucking it up. Get it straight.
Utah is gorgeous, by the way. I'm not religious but it even makes me feel spiritual. If you ever get the chance, the whole desert Southwest is beautiful, particularly southern Utah and northern Arizona.

Missy, I agree with your point about the greater population leading to a commensurate level of nutjobs, but take issue with your heterogenity argument. Canada is NOT homogenous in any way shape or form. Multiculturalism is built into our laws and defines the very fabric of Canadianess. Toronto is the most Multi-ethnic city in North America. Places other than Vancouver boast large Asian populations. We have had a huge influx of african immigrants--particularly Somalian. There is a vibrant Latin population in many cities. Our Governor General was born in Haiti. The difference is not in the fact that there are more visible minorities in the US, the difference is in the melting pot vs mosaic cultures.

I'm not offended either. Seems like I spend half my life fighting the very things you're talking about here.
Including far more than our share of trolls.

Missy, you make some great points, it is true that the nutters usually scream louder and longer than most "normal" people. So, I was looking at it from that perspective.
I mean come on, the Jesus lady from Trady Spouses is not someone whom I think is the "norm". I found her amusing, but not an example of Americanism.
The thing that I think many people forget is that the US is supposed to celebrate freedom of thought/religion/expression yet when someone questions the "CEO" of the country, or the actions of their military, they are immediately jumped on and called a traitor to their country. So, my belief is that some people not only stop thinking for themselves, but they become too polarized to the patriotic rhetoric. Thats a slippery slope, not to mention scary.
We do have a very different ideology when it comes to our countries. Health care is one. As a Canadian, it is our RIGHT for free health care. However I've talked to many "liberal" Americans and they beleive it is a privledge that is earned through working and paying for it. I can't get my brain around that, it's completely foreign to me. I was just throwing it out there as an example.

Thanks for making that point Sisypus. I happen to live in "whitey central" currently, and it's easy to forget what the rest of Canada looks like. It's what I miss most about the rest of Canada.
I love our "ideology" of taking care of eachother. Sure, it can be abused, like anything else, but for the most part, we take care of others, at here and abroad. We're respected in the world theatre, whereas the US is perceived as the big bully-better do what they say, or they'll be a pain in the ass (freedom fries anyone?).
It's the difference between assuming everyone has the right to equal access, and thinking that you only have the right if you meet certain criteria. I'm more than pleased that my children will grow up believing in others. I don't think they'd have the same chances at exposure to all sides in the US.

The sheer venom and stupidity (and continuation of this inanity) makes me wonder if this really is some kind of Marine mom w/ a serious jones or if it's just some loser looking to get a rise out of someone.
My advice: spit out the hook and let him/her cast out and find another fish ;)

Wow... What crawled up her butt and died? I can't imagine emailing someone like that...

What "gets" me the most is her best zinger is to pick on a 3 year old. What is she still in 3rd grade? I'm picturing a fat, white, trailer trash, breeder, living in her double-wide in a small town somewhere in Alabama or Lousiana. She probably feels superior to her friends because she has a double-wide and and an internet connection. I bet she is even missing a few teeth!

Dor, PLEASE pledge to constantly, continuously and without cessation, write this person until your fingers fall off.
Write them until their ISP cancels their account.
Write them until their electric bills skyrocket.
Write them until their eyes get so tired from reading your incessant emails that they go blind.

MsSisyphus, I agree that Canada is not heterogeneous. Perhaps I blindly assumed. I apologize.
I agree that the cultures are definitely different.
Thordora, thanks for opening up the discussion. I appreciate learning more about my fabulous neighbors to the north. :)

Eden I actually think it's a man, really. The tone because very masculine, and seemed to use the language in a different way with each email.
Regardless, this person has too much time on their hands. I already spit out the hook, once it began to be no fun. I can be amused while people are interesting.
Nat I don't know. I called her president evil, or the devil or something. Apparently, somce people get a little hung up on stupid shit.
Krista I'm hoping there are many tornados in her/his/its immediate vicinity this year. I usually feel sorry for people who are the results of their environment. Not this time.
Nicole If I was smarter, I'd find a way to locate her in person, and send piles of dog poo to her. Since I don't have the time, this was as far as I wanted to go. Displaying her idiocy for all to see, and her email for all to spam, was enough for me. Like someone said, she's an AOL user after all... :)
Missy Thanks for taking this so well! I really don't mean all Americans, and I hate when I get mad enough to act like that. I'm glad to meet you and your blog though. :P
